Procurement is the overall process of acquiring goods, works and services including all functions from the identification of needs, selection and solicitation of sources, preparation and award of contract, and all phases of the contract administration or the useful life of an asset.

Except corruption is eliminated, every other thing would be a mockery of the resolved intention for transparency and accountability.

Procurement practitioners have a responsibility to not only be conversant with the requirements of the Act, but should inform their various procuring entities and committee accordingly for adherence and compliance.
